Barb + Ben at The Ruins at the Astor

Barb and Ben’s wedding at The Ruins at the Astor was full of charm, creativity, and coastal magic. The Oregon Coast can be unpredictable, but the weather showed up with that perfect overcast glow that makes everything feel cinematic. They held their ceremony just down the street at The Garden of Surging Waves, a beautiful and peaceful space that set the tone for the whole day.

One of the most memorable details—they handmade over a hundred tiny knit potatoes as guest favors, and everyone absolutely loved them. During dinner and dancing, a live jazz quartet led by George Colligan kept the vibe smooth and joyful, filling the space with music that matched the energy of the day perfectly.

Dessert came courtesy of Frite and Scoop, who brought their mobile scoop cart and served up delicious, creamy treats to end the night on the sweetest note. With multiple locations and so many moving parts, day-of coordination helped keep everything flowing effortlessly, so Barb and Ben could enjoy every quirky, heartfelt, and joyful moment of their wedding day.
