Chelsea + Garrett at McMenamins Old Church

Some weddings are smooth sailing. Others have a little extra excitement thrown in. Chelsea and Garrett’s wedding at The Old Church? Definitely the latter.

First of all—Chelsea’s dress? Handmade by her mom. Incredible. It fit her like a dream, and you could feel how much love went into every stitch. And just as we were soaking in all that sweetness… the power went out.

Now, I’m good in an emergency. (Turns out, wedding coordination is just a series of small and large crises disguised as a celebration.) We jumped into action, rushing around lighting candles, figuring out backup plans, and keeping the mood calm. And then—just in time—the lights came back on, like magic, right before the ceremony started.

Cocktail hour was out on the patio, a perfect setup for a summer evening. And Garrett? Huge NASCAR guy. So when it was time to pop the champagne, he went full victory lane, spraying it like he’d just won the Daytona 500. Iconic.

A little chaos, a lot of love, and the kind of wedding story that gets better every time you tell it. Chelsea and Garrett, you nailed it.
