Ilene + Gergo
A wedding at Congregation Beth Israel is always something special, and Ilene & Gergo’s day was no exception. The rain might have been falling outside, but inside, the warmth and joy of their celebration made it feel like pure magic.
They walked down the aisle to live piano music, setting a beautiful and timeless tone for the ceremony. The ketubah signing was intimate and heartfelt, a moment that felt deeply personal and filled with meaning.
For dessert, they chose a stunning cake from Helen Bernhard Bakery, its white frosting glittering under the lights and catching everyone’s eye. But it wasn’t just the cake that had guests talking—their wedding favors were incredibly thoughtful. Small tins filled with a mix of Hungarian, Icelandic, and American chocolates, a perfect nod to Gergo’s journey from Hungary to Iceland and finally to Oregon, where he and Ilene built their life together.
The biggest surprise of the night? Ilene’s announcement that they are expecting a baby! The room erupted in cheers, a perfect ending to a wedding filled with love, family, and unforgettable moments.
